About Jess

Jessica Grisafi is the Lower School Art Coordinator at Germantown Academy where she teaches 3rd, 4th and 5th grade visual arts. She currently holds the Barness Chair for Visual and Performing Arts. Jessica is a co-director of Art Across the Academy and also directs Germantown Academy’s Art Quest summer program. She serves as co-director/curator for Germantown Academy’s Arts Center Gallery. In the past few years, Jessica has been a cooperating Teacher for the Temple University Art Education Program. Postgraduate work includes studies in ceramics, painting, environmental art education, and kinesiology. Jessica has been a faculty member of Germantown Academy since 2002. In 2006, Jessica was awarded Germantown Academy’s Distinguished Professional Achievement award.

As a graduate of Temple University’s, Tyler School of Art she acquired her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in Ceramics, along with her Pennsylvania Commonwealth Certification in Art Education, K-12. Jessica graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tyler and received the Rudolf Staffold Award for Excellence in Ceramics. After playing four years of division one field hockey at Temple University, Jessica contributes as a field hockey coach for Germantown Academy and referees for the winter field hockey program.
